Easter Egg Hunt

At Halloween, Madison didn't think walking door to door and asking for candy was strange, and she was happy to have a jolly old man with a white beard leave candy in her stocking, so of course she welcomed sitting on a giant bunny's lap and looking for plastic eggs with candy inside! So many fun holidays with lots of yummy treats! Madison have ended up with one egg in her basket without little coaxing from mom. I think she ended up with five or six:) Why look for more eggs when there is candy ready to be eaten in the first one you find!
Emerie loved putting the plastic eggs back together and tasting pieces of Madison's candy when mom wasn't looking. The girls looked too cute in their matching shirts! Madison loved swinging with her friends on the swing and sharing candy. We are lucky to have met so many great friends out hear!

Helping Dad

One of Madison's favorite things to do is to go outside and help Jake in the garden. Especially if it involves water. She loves to water the plants, get out her shovel and dig in the dirt. Emerie was able to join in the fun at a safe distance (she is in the dirt eating stage). They have so much fun outside and Madison gets so excited at every flower and "popcorn" tree that she sees. She sings the classic primary song about "popcorn popping on the apricot tree". The other day she asked if we could eat the trees and I explained that they were just flowers that looked like popcorn.

Almost One!

Our little Emerie has grown up so fast! This next week she will be one year old! She is walking and as cute as ever! She puts her hands straight up in the air when she walks. She is still a little bit wobbly but it's only a matter of time until she is chasing after her big sister.
Emerie loves to do everything that Madison does and she loves to give her sister big hugs and kisses. She has an adorable laugh and her cheeks are so fun to kiss. We are so lucky to have such sweet little girls!

Fun Pictures!

Chocolate muffins, painting, and rainbow dresses... these are a few of Madison's favorite things! She looks like she's lost a few teeth in her chocolate muffin picture.
When Madison paints she is very serious and thoughtful. It's fun to watch. It isn't too long however until she decides to try the paint on her arm. We decided the other day she wasn't ready for markers after she colored her white shoes and dress. Thank goodness for Oxyclean!

Madison in her thoughts

This is the face of a cute little girl who decided not to take a nap today. I am sure she is thinking of some wonderful things. She is a very thoughtful girl and has quite the imagination. Earlier this week daddy put her to bed because I went to play basketball. For some reason Madison woke up around 1:30am calling for me. When I walked into the room, with a very happy cheerful voice, she said,"Mom, how was your basketball game? Are your legs very tired from running?" Her sweetness made going in her room at such early morning hours much happier! Madison always knows how to make us smile!
