Christmas Fun

We had a fun Christmas season this year. The girls loved reading Christmas stories by the Christmas tree with daddy. They especially loved hearing the Nutcracker story however they weren't quite so sure about meeting him. A fierce looking Nutcracker and ballerina came to our library to visit the kids. Madison was pretty scared of the Nutcracker as you can see in the pictures.
Every year we buy an amazing 14$ tree at our local nursery. The girls had a lot of fun picking it out despite the rain the helped make the selection quick.
Santa came to Madison's preschool winterfest party this year. Madison was happy to sit on his lap and tell him about the Barbie doll house she wanted for Christmas. Emerie on the other hand was still very nervous about the man with the big white beard.
We have also have a fun tradition of making gingerbread man cookies and reading the gingerbread man story. Emerie has a little playgroup and so we had fun sharing the activity with them. The girls favorite part is looking for that silly gingerbread man who always seems to pop out of the oven and run and hide somewhere in the house. Jake did a great job baking all those gingerbread cookies!

Christmas Dance Recital

This was Madison's third dance recital. She absolutely loves dance class and is always excited to perform. All went well until her ballet shoe came untied but she was able to dance through it:) Emerie can't wait until she is old enough to be in dance class. She watched the teacher during the entire recital and mimicked every step of the dance just like Madison. It was very cute!

Madison's Utah Party

My family threw Madison a surprise party (that she helped plan). Madison knew we would be celebrating her fourth birthday in Utah and she was very excited to share it with family! She had a fun dress up party that my mom and sisters planned lots of fun crafts and games that involved flying carpets and a visit from Cinderella (my sister's old bridesmaid dress came in handy for princess parties). It was such a fun day!

Three Month Old Adelaide!

This cute little girl turned three months old in Utah. She loved showing off her smile and being held all day long by Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, and Uncles. She was a great little flyer on the airplane and such and angel baby!

Madison and Emerie bravely touched the sting rays and had a great time being silly with their cousins!

The girls loved dressing up at grandmas house, getting Jelly Bellys from the candy machine, and playing playdough.
