A few weeks ago we took a trip! So... this farm, is about a 40 minutes dr
ive from our house but somehow I managed to get there in about 2 hours. How did I extend our scenic drive to the farm with two anxious little girls in the back seat. Well, there are a few contributing factors. #1-A broken GPS (relied on mapquest directions) those don't always go so well for me:), #2-Once we found the right road we were stopped by a very long train which stopped right on the tracks with three cars left to go! The service man didn't know how long they would be blocking the road, 30, maybe 45 minutes, hard to tell! He redirected us to a road with contributing factor #3- A flood, yes, the underpass was flooded. The officer gave us new directions and on our way came #4- We all needed to make a potty stop so we headed to the nearest McDonald's for a bathroom and chocolate milk to keep the troops happy:). #5- Once in the car again those new directions just didn't work out for me. #6- I am sure the train is gone by now, I headed back to by original road hoping the train had moved. The train was gone however there were quite a few more twists and turns before we finally made it!
The girls got to see about 20 minutes of the farm. They saw the sheep get sheered, pet the baby lambs, said hi to a few more animals before heading back to the car when it started to pour rain. Whew I what a trip! We made it home with only one wrong turn and we were saved by my friend Kristen who redirected my awful sense of direction over the phone. The girls were pretty restless on the way home. They were driving each other crazy and letting me know the time in the car needed to be over. Lets hope our next trip to the farm is less driving and more farm:)

Dandelion Heaven
We have had non-stop rain! However there was a bit of sunshine this morning so we ventured out to our neighborhood park to play in the flowers and puddles. Emerie was afraid of the water at first but once I convinced her there weren't any alligators she was happy to jump and splash. Hopefully I can take the girls out all dressed up to get some more fun pictures in this field before they mow the lawn:)

Easter
This year I decided to make the girls Easter dresses. It took some time but it was worth it:) They loved them and looked so cute! Madison had a hard time getting to bed because she was so excited for the Easter Bunny to come! She woke up extra early Easter morning even though she couldn't find her basket until after we got home from church. It's hard enough to make it on time without the excitement of baskets and candy:) They were so cute and so excited to find all of their Easter surprises. Emerie must have over done it on the candy since it all came out on the floor before her nap time. Yuck, such a fun thing to clean up. The bunny was very careful not to put too much in her basket but I think she must have snuck some from her sister. She is a sneaky little girl!
Dandelions
Dandelions, precious, beautiful flowers in the eyes of cute little sisters:) Thanks Grandma Pocco for their cute spring dresses! They have loved them!
Emerie turns two!
Our cute little Emerie turned two this last month. She has just exploded with personality and she is such a goofy little girl. She loves to be silly and tease her sister Madison. She loves to dance, sing, color, play with play dough, puzzles, and her blocks. She is always climbing onto the sink and playing in the water so we got her a water table! The girls were able to enjoy it one day but we have had rain ever since so hopefully good weather will be here soon! Emerie and Madison have been playing really cute together lately. They play house and Madison is usually the "mudder" (mother) as Emerie says it. Madison calls Emerie sweetheart and darling as they play out their family rolls.
Emerie's birthday party was a kitty party. She loves kitty's and loves to pretend she is a kitty as she crawls around the house meowing and licking your leg (yuck!). We had a few friends over and they played lots of fun kitten games. It was so fun to watch them play and interact with their friends. During story time Emerie put her arm around her friend Dallin and sat very still listening to the book. It was very cute! We never know what to expect from Emerie, she is so random and always makes us smile! It was such a fun day. Happy birthday little Emmers, we love you so much!

Girls are so fun!
Madison has such an imagination and she had so much fun having a tea party with her stuffed animal friends. She is always making up dialog for all of her toys and is so funny to listen to. Madison loves to make up her own definitions to for words that she hears. It is so funny to listen to her discipline her dolls and animals when they misbehave and go to time out. It is great to see how they perceive you when they play. We had a great afternoon party!

Another Princess!
We are happy to be adding another princess to the girl party! The doctor is "pretty sure" it's a girl. The baby wasn't the most cooperative but they are pretty sure:)
