Wintertime Fun!

Everyday is a new adventure for the girls. They love playing with Adelaide, making angels in the snow, waiting for daddy to come home, making bridges out of pillows and trains out of chairs!

Adelaides Eats Rice Cereal

What a fun time! The girls loved watching Adelaide pull funny faces as she tried her first cereal. They also loved helping to feed her. After all was said and done Adelaide got a little in her tummy and we had a lot of rice cereal all over the place! Adelaide loves eating her baby food now and had gotten it down pretty well! The girls still love to help feed Adelaide and each meal is quite the production with so many little helpers!

Simple Joys

These girls love to dress up and dance, dance, dance, it's so much fun! On this particular day Madison and Emerie made a cute little castle for their ponies out of all the groceries I hadn't put away yet. It was so fun to watch them play! Their minds are so busy and creative!

Sweater Pillows

This winter season I made lots of pillows out of old sweaters! It was a fun project and they are so cozy! I think I made around eleven for Christmas gifts and some of them were really cute with fabric flowers on them. Unfortunately six of them are still lost in the mail and my family never got their Christmas presents! It is so sickening and heartbreaking! We are still hoping the package will be found with all their presents in it. If only all of the content was replaceable and I hadn't stayed up so many late nights making so many cute things (there were also hand made earings, family videos, pictures, and many more things in that box)! I will keep hoping but in the mean time I better get busy remaking all their gifts and maybe they will get Christmas in July!

Happy New Year!

Jake was working this new year but the girls and I had a fun party celebrating the new year before their bedtime! We had a little dance party, made some noise, and watched the ball drop on youtube!

More Christmas Photos

Our nativity photos were cut short this year... Madison and Emerie both wanted to be Mary and they both wanted to ride the "donkey" (their rocking horse).
The girls woke up on Christmas morning to lots of fun surprises! Santa knew that this house of girls needed a dollhouse that all three girls, and their friends, could enjoy playing with all at the same time! He also knew that this mini trampoline would get lots of use all winter long! Adelaide has also had lots of fun enjoying her little play mat (when it's not being used as a Barbie circus). I am amazed at how well the Barbies hang from those little rings:) They loved their presents and play with them everyday!
They girls also were so excited to open presents from family and friends. Thanks to everyone for spoiling them with so many fun thoughtful presents! We all felt so loved!

Pink Frilly Skirts

My Grandma and Grandpa gave the girls these cute skirts for Christmas! They know how much my girls love to dance and twirl. Every skirt they put on gets twirl tested! These twirl amazing:) Thank you so very much for the fun presents!
Madison and Emerie are such good friends and so funny!
They are both wearing their ballet shoes pretending to dance at the Nutcracker. Emerie as you can see loves to pull funny faces in all her pictures!
Tonight, on the way home from dance class all three girls fell asleep in the car. I took in Adelaide, then our stuff, then woke up Madison and carried Emerie in (Jake was working). Emerie was quite grumpy. I laid her on the floor of her room so I could get them all ready for bed. Madison was such an amazing helper tonight like I have never seen before. She talked to Adelaide while I got Emmie some milk. She helped me get sleeping Emerie in her pj's and even let her wear her monkey night gown that Ems loves! I put Emerie in her bed hoping she would go back to sleep.
I then fed a very hungry Adelaide. Madison proceeded to take care of herself and Emerie, without me even asking! She put away Emmie's milk sippy, helped her out of bed to brush her teeth and go potty, then brushed her own teeth! She then tucked Emerie back in bed, gave her a few of her very own favorite stuffed animals, and started to read her a story. I was amazed! Sharing and helping, without me even doing a thing! By now I had finished feeding Adelaide and came in to help out. It was so cute to see her being such a big helper!

Christmas Morning Photos

We took these photos right after getting home from 9 am church. It was nice to have Christmas on a Sunday and we were surprisingly on time (they girls even opened a few presents). Madison sang in church with the primary kids and it was so nice to have some time to focus on what this day is all about.
My mom sent the girls these cute dresses and they had so much fun all matching!

Brave New Haircut!

I have no idea why I can't stop the text from underlining this paragraph! I can't figure it out!
Anyhow...A few weeks ago, while visiting in Utah, I decided to something very brave. The day before Jake got back from Guatemala I chopped my very long hair off! It always ends up shorter than planned (I think hair stylists get so excited to do something dramatic!) I didn't cry, I was a little shocked but now I am enjoying the change. I hardly ever wear my hair down because it just gets in the way, especially with kids, but now and then I will take time to do it and I can actually go an entire day before I stick it back in a pony tail! My hair always sheds a TON after having a baby so it feels good to have it short again.

Adelaide's Blessing Dress Photo Shoot

Oh my this cute little girl is growing too fast! These are some pictures I took of Adelaide in her blessing dress at four months old. The purple blanket was made by my mom. Adelaide pulled some great faces for the pictures and even showed off her smile a few times. We have so much fun making her laugh. There is just nothing more fun than getting a baby to laugh at you. It just makes me so happy!
I love the quiet moments I get with Adelaide after the girls have gone to sleep. We sing songs, read books, and play all sorts of fun baby games. The classic "patty cake" always makes her giggle. Especially on the "roll it, roll it, mark it with a B" part. It seems as if I enjoy the baby stages so much more than with the other two girls. I guess I already know what they grow up into ;) (not that I don't love my older girls fun personalities) but.. it's fun to enjoy this stage where you always feel just pure baby love! I just give her hugs and kisses on those cute cheeks all day long! Oh we just love our Adelaide!
